Before we get into the marketing of Chris Walker let me just share the the truth about why I became an executive coach to some of the world’s leading individuals.
When I was 14 I carried a knife, stole cars, broke into pharmacies and committed a lot of crime. Eight of my best mates went to jail, two died. I was on the wrong side of a fence. Around this time, my dad bought a block of land and each Sunday, we’d pack a lunch, a few axes and a saw and go clearing the forest. It changed my life.
A few years later I read a book by Paul Earlich, about Ecology and how, by consuming too much and growing too fast. I went to uni, studied environmental engineering and built an air pollution control business. My love of nature was at the core of my life but then I became successful and forgot my roots.
At the age of 34 I got divorced. I went back to uni and did an MBA to find out why. When that didn’t answer the question, I went to Nepal and reconnected with my roots, nature and the ecology of life.
Since then I’ve written lots of books, changed business cultures, helped high profile artists and worked with indigenous communities helping others to find authenticity and inspiration through nature.
In 2001, when the WTC was attacked in New York, I stepped up the intensity of my work.
I believe, more than ever, that the world will benefit from embracing the unifying principles of nature to bridge our differences. I believe we can unify the world, one heart at a time, through an understanding of the diversity of nature, nature’s universal laws, and that common thread that runs through all humanity.
