10 WAYS TO IMPROVE YOUR SELF DISCIPLINE

I constantly hear people say “I haven’t got time” or “I didn’t get around to it” or “I just can’t be bothered”

These words are common and normal. Let’s not beat ourselves up for it. We all lack the discipline from time to time to do what we need to do.

WHY….

The answer to why is simple. That is “the result of doing whatever it is, isn’t stimulating enough”

  • Sometimes the reason for the lack of stimulation in the outcome is that it’s too far away – big distant goals sometimes loose relevance amongst the challenges of today.
  • Sometimes the reason is that there are other things – more immediate filling the time and energy. Like an argument or financial pressure.

But mostly it’s because we let life come to us in a language of “feelings.” – “I just don’t feel like it”

Feelings are weird. They feel real. But they are not real. They are responses conditioned by our beliefs and experience, that cause us to either feel engaged or not.

You can change your feelings and once that little game is over, you’ll be able to do whatever you say you need to do. You’ll feel like it because you’ll choose to feel like it.

You often don’t feel like going to the dentist but if you have a tooth ache you just can’t wait to get there. Feelings change and you can be at the cause of that situation.
