Themed on self-leadership in challenging changing environments Chris presents a powerful anecdotal insight based on leading 55 expeditions (well trekking groups really) into the high Himalayas of Nepal, to Mt Everest base camp and nearby trekking peaks (the two highest trekking peaks in the world. Chris is one of the most recognised characters in this Himalayan region, referred to as family by many of his Sherpa friends, nuns and monks. His journeys with real people paying him to lead them into dangerous places, a great metaphor for change leadership are inspirational and at times heart opening and hilarious. This presentation can include slide show and hand out notes if required. The take home value is a new insight to inspired self-leadership to help individuals turn up, keep their head on straight while leading others through change.


This includes the presentation on Self Leadership using Chris’ first hand leadership experience using the Himalayan explorations and stories as a backdrop. In addition your group will be invited to practice some of the skills, such as emotional clearing, dealing with stress, handing uncertainty, calming techniques, and understanding the difference between leading and managing change. A small workbook is presented to each individual and a great brainstorming interactive workshop shares some powerful insight and take away self-leadership skills:
